Painted on Easter weekend 2025 using a stone staircase located in Israel as a reference photo taken by a friend.
Jesus had been speaking to me also about painting things from a new perspective. I was thinking about Easter & all that it means & thought I wonder what it looked like when Jesus came out of the tomb, from the inside?? I suddenly remembered the image of the stone staircase in Israel! So as I am painting Jesus whispers in my ear....
"Hey PK, do you know what else this is?" I said... No Jesus, I don't.
He replied.. "this is what it looked like when you came out of the "tomb" of YOUR OWN CREATION!" I cried out OHHHH SNAP! Revelation time!!
So I proceeded to place the shelf on the left side....so I could deposit all my "junk" there and walk out clean!
