Reflecting the Father
2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT (The Passion Translation)
We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into HIS very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
In layman’s terms….What we gaze upon we become! What we focus on, we reflect & reproduce!
In other translations of this verse they use the word “transformed” … the original Greek word is “Metamorphoo” – which is same word used to describe Jesus’s transfiguration in Matt 17:2 & Mark 9:2
It is my goal to look like Yeshua, and to be “transfigured or transformed”……& not to reflect the world around me, as the world (aka the Satan, the Father of Lies) around me wants me to react & reproduce from it’s perspective…reactions based in “fear”, “timidity”, “unvalued” or “condemned”
I am (ever since I fully believed that Jesus rose from the grave) a true Daughter of THE KING!
I AM His Beloved! I AM Bold, I AM Fearless, I AM Loved, & I AM Redeemed!
It is now & always, my responsibility to walk, speak, see, hear & REACT from that perspective! The perspective of YHVH!
And I MUST understand – it is ALWAYS a choice….my choice… which “Father” I am going to represent to my world or better said “re-present” to the world, & my world.
So the bottom line truth is….Who am I reflecting today???
